If the call is from a number I don’t recognize (and I’m not anticipating a call from a service tech, etc.) I don’t answer. Most of the time there is no message. If there is, it normally is a spam or scam call. I love the ones where I’m threatened with arrest or to have my account frozen, etc.
I do wish there were a button I could push that would melt the computer on the other end though…
i control my “smartphone”…not it controls me….if you aren’t in my contacts & you can’t either leave me a voicemail or shoot me a text, then you are NOT worth my time….

My cell service is great! AFTER I “ignore” the call, T-Mobile will tell me it was probably a scam?

That would be me! But I don’t get many anymore.
I put my answering machine on two rings and they rarely leave a message! I don’t answer unless I know who it is anyways!
The only one who leaves a message is Honda airbag recall.

If Broomie didn’t have her spam calls, she’d have no calls at all!

Such language, Broom-Hilda!
