Buni arrives in a time machine to prehistoric times. Gets eaten by a dinosaur and discovered inside it's stomach by archeologists.
Application of logic: he died before he was born, therefore he will be born again sometime later and live twice. Maybe in the second round he won’t get access to a time machine.
