Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for October 22, 1988
Transcript:
Calvin: I hate school. Calvin: Each day I count the hours until school's over. Then I count the days until the weekend. Then I count the weeks until the month is over, and then the months until summer. I always have to postpone what I want to do for what I have to do! Dad: Welcome to the world. Calvin: Would you sign this parental excuse to get me out of the next 11 1/2 year of school.
Problem: Everything Calvin WANTS to do is postponed for what he HAS to do.
Solution (illogical): Calvin must postpone everything he HAS to do for what he WANTS to do, ergo he must avoid the next 11 1/2 years of school.
