Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for October 22, 1989
Transcript:
Calvin: Gosh, it's 1:30 and I'm still awake. Someone must've waylaid Mr. Sandman. I just can't get comfortable. Mmf. I'm exhausted, but I can't fall asleep. Maybe if I just lie still and think about how good it feels to be in bed, and how soft the pillow is, and how very, very tired I am...Phooey, this isn't working. All I want is to get some sleep. This is awful. Mom: Calvin? Calvin: Gee Mom, are you awake too? Mom: It's time to get up. Calvin: It can't be! It's the middle of the night and I haven't slept a wink yet! Mom: Calvin? C'mon, up and at em. Calvin: This is going to be a bad day.
They’re showing the wrong strip, it’s supposed to be the one about how Calvin and Hobbes decide to play together in their dreams (Very touching strip and my all time favorite) but instead I’m seeing the one about how Calvin dreams he can’t sleep. :-/
