Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for June 20, 1990
Transcript:
Calvin: I've missed half of my TV show now. I hope you're happy. Dad: You shouldn't be planning your life around the TV anyway. Calvin: Hmph. Dad: Look, I don't think it's too much to ask that we sit together for 40 minutes without distractions and interruptions. Phone: Rinngg! Mom: I'll get it! I'm expecting a call. Calvin: Go ahead, dad. I believe you were saying something funny. Dad: I have all these great genes, but they're recessive. That's the problem here.

I wouldn’t be talking dad, one of these days there might be a show you really want to watch, then you get distracted by something else, you missed half or all of your show, then you will get PO’ed about it. then you will absolutely know how Calvin feels about missing his show(s)
