Calvin can show such deep thought for a kid, such as his grasp of motivational techniques and his knowledge of dinasaurs. Yet, as FishStix points out, Calvin can’t solve 8+3. Then again, this strip would not be as funny if he was just an ordinary kid.

I guess Calvin would be in his mid twenties by now…..and the family circus kids would be in their thirties…..and Hi and Lois’ little baby would be in her forties….and dennis the menace would almost sixty…….hey, he’s as old as mister wilson! just a thot

This to Calvin’s dad. There is a simple little operation that takes about twenty minutes and there will not be another Calvin.

The thing with Calvin is that he keeps his dad on his toes…

N7326F: I’m assuming that, since Calvin’s 6 years old and an only child, THAT got done once the little smart-alleck learned how to talk and began running dad-opinion polls!!!!!

Calvin learned early in life how to motivate and manipulate people. Today, in real life, Calvin is actually Billy Mays, pitch man for Oxi-Clean.

I think Dad in cell three, looks like he could use a double shot. He knows whatever Calvin is cooking up is not going to be tasteful to him.

In a more modern version. Have Dad say he is sorry then go to rehab for two weeks. And since this is not Japan, his position is secure.
