Here we have hot weather, between 30 and 40°C. But, when you open the window in the night, cold air comes in . I got a sore throat and cough and people ask me, why I am suffering on this when weather is so hot!
I donât even want to know how either a stuffed tiger or an imaginary one can have âa big, hot, furry bodyâ â partly because if I did, Iâd know how Hobbes does everything else and quite frequently to Calvinâs detriment.
@King Shark: UmmmmâŠâŠâŠâŠ.. Thou art welcome, oh ruler of the finned predators. I wonât let that comment go to my head. Donât want to become light-headed.
Gotta love Hobbesâs expression in the third panel: the expression of someone whoâs finally had it with Calvin. Itâs more commonly found on Momâs face.
@Snoopy_Fan: You must be a real Snoopy FanâŠâŠâŠAt least Calvin doesnât have to sleep on the peak of the roof like Snoopy, and he is able to feel the breeze now. Regardless, he looks shingle-air-ly uncomfortable. (Sorry, that one was for Puddleglum.)
Love that hahahaha klunk bit with Woodstock & Snoopy. :)I had a teddy that took up too much room in the bed and made me sleep against the cold wall. He never threatened to strangle me but he had a killer look of reproach if I ever tried to make him switch sides. So I didnât.
So this was a case of open mouthâŠ.insert shingle?.Hobbes I had forgotten all about Charlie Brownâs night cap. Thanks for that blast from the past. :-)
@Hobbes,âshingle-air-ly uncomfortableâI âgrittedâ my teeth or I would have âraised the roofâ on that one!You should be âtarredâ and âfurtheredâ by the women of Marblehead!
âAnd Mom canât imagine how my pajamas get so gritty.âMom is dull-witted as well as unimaginative if she canât figure it out!Apparently Calvinâs imagination comes from Dad. Duh!
@MORMON,Youâre quite right, of course, but then there wouldnât be a problem. Itâs in the same category with them who say Calvin should keep his mouth shut and he wouldnât end up on the roof. However, we have a right to be logical even if the cartoon isnât!
Them old ashfelt shingles sure are gritty ,It is a poor place to sleep, but if you toss around in your sleep your going to be on the lawn ,not so gritty.
Hobbes, Number Six, Night-Gaunt49, Molly mcgee, Sandy Shore, Vonne Anton, Teresa, Blue Pumpkin, The Snoopster, lectricdude and It is Alive!:

Thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday. They were very much appreciated! Cancer is one of those cruel diseases that can strike anyone, anywhere, at any time . . . it knows no boundaries of any kind â age, sex, race, religion, social/economic status, etc. None of that stuff matters to cancer one little bit. Sometimes youâre lucky and you survive . . . other times, you can give it your all and still not make it. My dad didnât 10 years ago (among many others in his/my family) and unfortunately, my cousin didnât either. She fought the good fight for 4 long years but in the end, it was just too much for her and she finally had to let go. The one good thing about her death is the fact that she doesnât have to suffer with it anymore.
