My son went to a small high school. It had a football team, but with hundreds of students to pick from instead of thousands of students, let’s just say that the team did not feature 300-lb linemen. The school was not known for football, and nobody went there just to play football. Our team was nicknamed, “The Skinny Catholic Kids from Tacoma.”
Their rival school, on the other hand, was huge and was known for football. People used the local gas station as a home address so their sons could go there if they did not live in the district. Their roster varied week to week depending on who could make bail and at half time they would graze on the side lines.
From the end zone, you couldn’t even see our team behind their line.
However we did break down their defense on one play. Instead of a snap count, the team used a chant, “It’s alright; it’s OK. You’re going to work for us someday.”
All prison is good for is putting blacks and Hispanics into prison at far greater numbers than whites. It either hardens you further or beaks you. An institution in need of heavy regulation. It has very little in our country.
I think it’s more about scocial/economic subjugation and exploitation of the lower classes, the bulk of which just happens to be non-white. Once one comes under “their” authority it is almost impossible to escape it.
Take someone on state court probation in Georgia. If that person is arrested again for anything, they are going to spend a minimum of 30 days in jail. It does not matter if charges are dropped, just getting arrested is a violation. That person is guilty of getting arrested! That is the wording they plead guilty to when they finally get in front of the judge, 30 to 45 days later. No bond. This treatment can also be applied for nothing more than a traffic ticket, false positive drug test, etc.

Or, in his case, take mouth out of gear before engaging brain.

I much prefer bullies who shout insults and curses to the ones who just slug away. Bruised shoulders hurt.

C’mon, It;s only a cut/bruise. Moe’s a middle school thug. How can Moe be any harder on Calvin than his fiendishly crafty buddy Hobbes?
