We learn a lot from this strip, but it’s certainly not about physics. Unless Hobbes gave Calvin a helping hand, or there’s a motor hidden in that wagon, Calvin wouldn’t be able to pull off that downhill run as easy as that. Sorry everyone, I’m a retired engineer.

I often have many random thoughts, none of which ever reach the depth of Calvin’s. Perhaps that is why I like this Comic so much.

Hobbes, You should not have done that.

Interesting observation indeed. Calvin’s observation parallels the Genesis account, 2:7. His tearing off the cliff reflects our pathetic nature. Smart kid this Calvin.
