Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for October 21, 2014
Transcript:
*ding dong* Calvin: "It's ROSALYN!" Mom: "Answer the door, will you please, Calvin?" Calvin: "Hi Roz. My parents changed their minds about going out, so we won't be needing your services. Goodbye" Dad: "Hi, Rosalyn. What are you talking about, Calvin?" Calvin: "You can't go out if mom can't find her SHOES, right?" Dad: "And what do YOU know about THAT?" Rosalyn: "I'd like to be paid in advance tonight" Calvin: "Uh, nothing! Ha ha! Um, why? Are her shoes missing?"
In advance? Is she afraid that she won’t get paid or she is planning on leaving early if things get too out of hand?
