Calvin, you don’t have to go to school if you get sick.

I felt sick last night, too.

My daughter used ti insist on putting a cold cloth on me forehead and taking my temperature when I was sick. It used to bug me (when I sick all I want is to be left alone) but made me feel really good to have a kid that cared so much. The feeling good really outweighed the slight irritation. And I get a little sad when I get sick now and the little thing isn’t there with an ice cold washcloth.

Yeah, Calvin, with cooties.

I like being pampered when I don’t feel well. Alas there is no one to pamper me when I don’t feel well.

First time EVER that I have seen mom show ANY affection for the little twerp.

My nephew was sick. I tried to get him to drink some water, telling him it will help break the slight fever he had. He said, “I don’t want to get better. I don’t want to go to school.”

Calvin is the original Ferris Bueller…

I think today’s strip is kind’a charming…

If tomorrow all my things were gone

I’d work for all my life.

And I had had to start again,

With just my children and my wife.

All these political comments sparked by a Calvin and Hobbes strip that had nothing to do with politics. Wow.

I’ve been reading this for so long.

But who wants to not feel well?

Someone who wants to be cared for.

The years of agony are just beginning. For everyone but rich white guys, that is.

I come here to read funny comics but some of the comments on here are just terrible and reflect the lack of inner humanity in some people and I just find it disgusting and sad that people like you are called human. What happened to feeling personal shame for such vile thoughts? The anonymity of the internet has let trolls say whatever they feel like saying like the classless beings they have become.

All these political comments are ruining the pleasure of reading the comments on this strip. I don’t care what your politics are – take them where they belong. There are plenty of political cartoons. This is not one of them so quit being lazy and ruining it for everyone who wants to enjoy a cartoon for its own sake!

Calvin: suggest you call Grandma. She may be able to help.

You are right, and I’ll never be the first one to bring them in on a comics page where all should be in fun. Once the first guy starts, it becomes increasingly more difficult to refrain from retort.

That 2nd panel may be one of the best depictions of Calvin he ever drew.

See, sometimes Calvin does have his sweet moments.

Aw man. I missed this one. It’s great! Calvin may be a pain sometimes, but he’s loved.
