Cathy: I called to cancel lunch with a friend. Got a quick update on her kids. Called to change dinner plans with another friend. Got a 35-second life review. Called to postpone a coffee date with someone else. Got a fast news catch-up. Called to bail on a party. Got a mini gossip review. My whole social life is snippets of conversations I have while getting out of plans to actually spend time with anyone. Sound-bite friendships. Emotional fast food. Unsatisfying. Unfulfilling. It's not enough for me! I need more and I will demand more! Hello. I want to supersize that last cancellation! Voice from phone: Great. I have six minutes until my next meeting!
Yes, I have a son. He breaks women’s hearts. He tells me that is not his looks, but he knows how to talk to women. He picked us up from a trip. He had a pretty blonde with him. We found out she was a member of a London dance troupe, visiting LA. She said she loved his emails.
They always tried to change him, but even at near 40, I believe no woman will settle him down.
