No! 200,000 acres of twinkling holiday gowns meet the 19 remaining brain cells of a February bride: Cathy: Do you have six of those in lavender?? Charlene: No! Saleswoman: With sequined tiara and/or sparkling gloves?

I know bridesmaid dresses are supposed to be ugly, but those designs are ridiculous even by Cathy standards of ugly!

Yup—those dresses are pretty AACK-worthy … especially the yellow and green one in the lower left panel. But, we can’t go without our daily [eye-roll], now, can we?
HI, MOM. Good Sunday Morning, “Cathy” Clan.

The bride should have the final say, since the bridesmaids ought to look compatible with her own creation.
But not at the expense of anyone’s sanity! You do have to consider that much.

I think that bridemaid’s dresses are getting a little saner these days. Too much dress shaming from the past.

I got married close to Christmas so I chose burgundy-colored bridesmaids dresses. And I made absolutely sure they were pretty ones too. How could I possibly look back in pride and fondness at pictures and videos taken on my wedding day if my bridal attendants were wearing the ugliest dresses known to mankind?! And for what purpose? Just so that I would “look better” in comparison? HA!!!!! I consider that to be pretty twisted logic and something I’m afraid I’ve simply never understood. Wedding guests should be thinking: “Oh, my! What a beautiful bride she is!” . . . not “Good Lord! What horrible taste in clothes she has! What on earth was she thinking?!” instead. Why would any woman purposely want that kind of a distraction on the most important day of her life? It completely takes the focus OFF her and puts it squarely on her attendants instead — which you’d THINK would be the absolute last thing in the world she’d want!
