Mom: "Sheesh"! Saleswoman: Do you want something to take a picture? Print a picture? Scan a picture? Store a picture? Restore a picture? E-mail a picture? Edit, crop, enhance a picture? Frame a picture? Album a picture? Turn a picture into something else? Picture mug? Picture hangbag? Picture watch? Picture quilt? Picture wallpaper? Picture postage stamp? Picture cap? Underwater picture? High-altitude picture? Panoramic picture? Night-vision picture? Mom: All I want for Christmas is an undocumented moment. Dad: Hold on! I have to get a shot of this!
I’ve been on both sides myself. I sucked at sales. I Was a dog training instructor at a popular chain petstore. A store that makes a lot of money spend it on commercials to advertise training? No, that’s silly. Just have the trainers bug every customer in the store to sell classes. Sometimes there would be hardly anyone in the store or regular customers that already done the classes or aren’t interested. We would get blamed from cooperate that we’re “not trying hard enough”. Better yet, Christmas time, people are not thinking about training, but trying to afford hristmas presents. Sales were always down around Christmas. Again, we “weren’t trying”. Then, to add onto the poor customers fun, after. Sing bugged about training classes, (if you don’t have a dog, buy one for someone else!), other employees tried to get you to buy moss balls for your fish tank, bowl, pond, decoration, anything! “Also, would try to get you to buy a puppy stater kit. What? Older dog? You still have coupons in there you can use! Don’t have a dog? You know someone who does!” Oh, you made it I the register finally? "Hey, do you want to buy a stuffed animal to support our pet charity? No? Okay, would you like to donate? Oh, by the way, has anyone told you about those cool moss balls? What about the puppy starter kit or a dog training class? ". Finally time to pay, put your card through. First question that pops up “Would you like to donate to our charity?”. Sigh…. it does really suck being a chromed and dealing with all of that. I also agree with legaleagle as well. For 98% of the people pushing sales or begging you to donate, it’s not fun for them either. They’re stuck at this job for one reason or another at the moment. Trust me, they’re praying or working for a way out of it. It makes them sick to their stomach every time they have to do it. The
