Cathy: This travel mug is perfect for Marcia. Irving: Great. Get it! Cathy: What could go with it? Irving: It doesn't need anything. It's perfect. Cathy: It would be more perfect if it had something with it. Ta da! A matching cookie jar! Isn't that more perfect?? Irving: Great. Get them both! Cathy: What could go with them? Irving: You have two perfect things! You don't need anything to go with them! Cathy: The two perfect things need some little things! Little cookie cutters... little packs of hot chocolate powder... little matching Santa plates and napkins... Cu-u-u-te! Saleswoman: May I help you? Irving: Hide everything else in the store that matches! The Perfect Gift: Is Never Quite Finished.

Uh, Cathy… there’s no such thing as “more perfect.” Either something is perfect or it isn’t. “Perfect,” like “unique,” is an absolute adjective and does not take comparative or superlative forms.

How about a giant [eye-roll]? Would one of those go well with the gifts?

Ah, usually too late to catch anyone. Maybe early enough today? I send many positive thoughts that all of the Cathy Clan have wonderful Holidays full of Love and Laughter. Namaste

No… not all women like “creating families”. Usually when I look for a gift, I have a dollar amount in mind, then I search for something for approximately that amount. If it ends up being one item, fine. Or maybe it’s two or three. Whatever works for that gift and my budget. I have no idea what she’s talking about her quest to keep adding to the gift. eye roll
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Sunday! We had a nice Thanksgiving seeing my mom and sister and her family. I miss my mom a lot and it’s hard seeing her only once or twice a year, but that’s the way it is and at least she is happy where she is and my sister is great about keeping an eye on her. hendelca, I hope you’re having a fantastic trip in Florida! I’ll look for your wave on your way home. :-) Sis, I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving in GA, and it sounds like your mom had a nice one surrounded by family. Hopefully you’ll be with her soon enough. QuietStorm, I hope you had a relaxing holiday and I hope you’ll see your son soon. You guys seem like a really sweet family, and love keeps you strong. Hugs to all and “see” you tomorrow! Off to do many loads of laundry and clean this messy house up some!

What do you want to bet that Marcia will either regift most of what Cathy is giving her or put it in the next yard sale.
