Mom: If I compliment my daughter, she'll take it the wrong way. If I criticize her, she'll take it the wrong way. I can't comment, can't advise, can't say a word, can't utter a peep. The world is an R-rated, taboos-lifted, self-expression free-for-all. Only the benevolent, beloved mother remains completely censored.

I’m thinking the “Mother” is the reason for the R rating, the taboos and the self repression in the first place. We rebel until we win so we can lose the war in peace.

With two teenagers in the house, I feel like this some days. I hope eventually it won’t be so bad. At Cathy’s age, both of them need to chill out a bit.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

On the one hand, I feel kinda bad for Cathy’s mom here, since not being able to communicate with a child must be so frustrating.
On the other hand, after all she’s put Cathy through this week, I kinda understand Cathy’s decision to … um … isolate?
HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
