Cathy (from phone): I went to a wedding. Mom: I'M ON MY WAY!! Cathy: Trista and Gene got married last night! It was so beautiful, mom! Mom: Let me see Cathy! Let me look into your eyeballs! Cathy: Trista wore a stunning satin gown and a diamond tiara! Mom: Did any urgent little noises start sounding in your brain?? Cathy: Gene looked so handsome! They were breathtaking together! Mom: Did any alarms go off in there? Any call to action?? Cathy: The flowers were amazing! The party was fabulous! It was all just perfect! Mom: Any vibrations? Any insistent pinging sounds?? Any urge to rush to a phone and respond to the grand call of love and life yourself?? Cathy: Huh? Mom: I used to dream of wedding bells. Now I'm just hoping for a wedding beeper.

Mixed feelings on this one. Nice that Cathy’s mom is interested in the wedding events, but the semi-pressure from her inspired an [eye-roll]. I know it’s all fun in the comics, but …

Yup, once was enough. No plans to be single again though. If the time comes and I am alone I won’t get married again. Of course by that time I hope to be to old to start over.
