I was at a friends house once, when a mutual friend of ours dropped by for a visit. She was going to tell us something that had happened recently, and started out by saying “I was told this in strictest confidence, so you can’t tell anybody”. I interrupted and said “If you were told not to tell anybody, then you shouldn’t tell us”. She said she was going to tell us anyway, because she trusted us. But, by telling us, she proved that she couldn’t be trusted.

At some point antagonizing your children loses it’s humor. I love the comic and I “get” the Mom and never overanalyze the strip but this particular one really gets my cuss words going. And I don’t like her. Better luck tomorrow.

Better not to get engaged if it makes you enraged. Silence is golden. We don’t hear that much anymore.

Staying out of other peoples’ business even when you know you should seems to be a common human failing. Not sure why although maybe it gives a person a sense of superiority when they can affect the loves of others. I will admit I fail at this too but not sure why.

Cold rainy day today but neighbour’s Viking day party going ahead under tents. Should be fun. I hope your day is fun too.

To speak, or not to speak? That shouldn’t be the question in cases like this, but all too often, it is …

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
