I imagine Michael’s fairly safe from Mona, Lewreader. Mona doesn’t have any interest in humiliating the guy at this point, and even if she did he’s probably impervious to insult. Those of us who are both aware of our weirdness and comfortable with it get used to that sort of thing.
baslim, if you’re implying that it’s supposed to be a Viking helmet because it has horns, you’re wrong. Pre-Viking-age germanic priests sometimes wore horned or antlered headdresses, but if you think about it, putting handles on a helment that an enemy can grab on to is just plain dumb. Add to that the fact that an overhead sword stroke, instead of being deflected by the helmet, would catch in the horns, pull the wearer’s head violently to the side and likely break his neck. Viking helmets were almost the same as Norman ones, which shouldn’t be odd, because the Normans were just Frankified Vikings anyway.
Geez, nobody even SAID it was a Viking helmet, and we still get the “Viking helmets didn’t have horns” lecture…
Let’s get someone to introduce a Viking angel rabbit into some strip or another. We’ll give him wings, a halo, and a horned helmet, and claim he’s a rodent. Then we can all chime in:
”VIKING HELMETS DIDN’T HAVE HORNS!!!”
”ANGELS DON’T HAVE WINGS AND HALOES!!!””RABBITS AREN’T RODENTS!!!”
