Surprised she could afford cigarettes in California. Aren’t they like $8 a pack?

The cigs my mother-in-law used to smoke were $24.95 for a 20 pack. That’s about $18 a 20-pack in the US

I imagine most chain smokers will know when they have it.

In NJ, “premium brands” of cigarettes go for $100 per carton. That’s 50¢ for each coffin nail!

I’m 58 with copd and ibs, congestion upstairs and looseness downstairs is nothing that isn’t normal

I stock groceries 40 hours a week, body aches are inevitable

Did feel extra icky late February for a few weeks before we even knew what a problem it was going to be, have to wonder if I already had it too

Of course you had symptoms — no sense of smell. You wore the same clothes for 2 weeks.

Egad! The Montrois Clan are survivors of the ’rona!

Still, just another reason to avoid Pierre. And Mona’s retort in panel 3 is so well suited to her….

At first, the authorities were very specific that to genuinely have Covid you would have to have experienced a dry, hacking cough. Now, if you subjectively recall having had a sniffly nose, or if you sneezed at some point, in the last 9 months, then you were definite a Covid case. Who knows, and who cares, really?
