Cleats by Bill Hinds for October 13, 2013
Transcript:
Boy: Dad, did you play football in college? Coach Nordling: No, but I was kind of on the team. I was the mascot. Boy: Cool! Nordling: It was cool. I was Franklin the Fighting Frog! At halftime, I would hop around the field chasing a guy dressed up like a giant fly wearing the opposing team's helmet. And you know what else? I still have the costume. Boy: Can you put it on! I want to see it! Nordling: It's stored away in the attic. Your mom wouldn't marry me unless I promised to bring it out only on National Frog Day. Boy: When is that? Nordling: She won't tell me.
Oh yeah. This builds “character.” This guy probably didn’t believe much in “concussions” either. (yes I know these are reprints, I wish we could see a more current take on nitwits like this)
