Dee: Wait, guys, I didn't stop the ball. It was a goal. I found it in the dark, in the back of the net. Well, I did! Josh: Doesn't matter. Goals don't count when the lights go out. I'm putting 30 seconds back on the clock and the Hotshots have the ball.

Dee did the right thing, now you know he is going to have to make another play in the next 30 seconds to stop the Hotshots, probably to the same kid who is cursing the power outage. It is doubtful if Hinds will have one of Dee’s teammates make a steal and run the time down!

That is fair, if the ref could not see, he can’t call it either way. But why 30 seconds? The clock was at 9 seconds when the lights went out. Of course, there could be stoppage time… but that is always by minutes. And yes… I am WAY over-thinking a comic!
