Jack: Summer's almost over. School starts soon. Mondo: I'll never forget how you tried to do a bicycle kick off the diving board! Oof! Bailey: I got eaten by the biggest swarm of mosquitoes ever, at Camp Kick-a-nee. Dee: My favorite thing was setting up the water slide in front of the goal and doing sliding saves. Jerome: And I got my first hit in a real baseball game! Abby: Remember when we went to the tournament in Surfside City and got to spend a week at the beach? Edith: Uh--yeah. I still feel sand in my shorts. Peri: That trip was so cool. And remember that big RV that Dawn's Dad rented? Jack, Mondo, Dee, Jerome, Abby, Peri: Summer was too short. Bailey and Edith: Summer was too long.

My daughter (a teacher) has already started back at school. The kids start school this Wednesday. They live on a ranch and are looking forward to the break from all the work.

This is how I want the Cleats summer movie to end. After all the stories are wrapped up and the first day of school is over, the kids go to the park, sit on a brick wall and discuss their views on the lengthily of their summer adventures. Roll credits.
