Dee: If you're going to be throwing brush-back pitches, then we need a signal for it. Let's see, one finger is a fastball. Two fingers is a curveball. Three fingers is a slider. Four fingers is a change-up. Five fingers is your grampa's "oli oop" pitch. A fist is a knuckleball. Jerome: You know I can only throw two pitches, don't you? Dee: Hey, you throw all of those pithces. They just look the same.
I also threw only two pitches: strikes and balls.
Of course, the strikes seldom made it into the catcher’s mitt.
