It’s been said that tattoos are permanent evidence of temporary insanity. Almost permanent.

Yeah, in about 30 years, we’re going to have all these little old ladies that are covered in weird, out-of-style, suggestive tattoos. Won’t THAT be frightening?

Hey! You are talking about my granddaughter. She has a darling baby now, and I am wondering how she will explain the artwork to her later. Imagine going to a parent=teacher conference looking like that. She did cover up with long sleeves and slacks for family funeral, thank heavens.

It took me 45 minutes to decide on a small temporary henna tattoo. I can’t imagine how long it would take to decide on something permanent; let alone where i would put it.

I saw a tattoo shop called “Sacred Art”. Must be sacred to neo-pagans. Personally, I am happy to be tat free and so is my wife. Besides, surgery has done enough damage to my skin.

I have a tatoo. I got it because I like it and it means something to me. I don’t regret it, and I don’t care how it will look when I’m old. All my un-tatooed bits won’t be looking all that great anyway. And that is exactly what I will tell my children and grandchildren in the unlikely event they even see it (it is in an inconspicuous place). People who let society talk them out of body art are just a weak-minded as people who let society talk them into it.

Love the comment, Coyoty!! Dr. Seuss did this decades ago. He had the Sneeches going through his Star-on machine, then the Star-off machine, until he left town with all their money.

I have seen a lot of teens around here with huge holes in their earlobes. How are they going to explain THAT to their teenaged children? Those holes won’t close up like regular earring holes.

Ha! This one reminds me of a story our church deacon told me when I was in high school. He said his buddies all went out & got tattoos when they joined the military during WWII, so he got one of a woman with no clothing put on his arm.

When he got out of the service & proposed to his sweetie, she said “yes”, but she also said she really wished he could do something about the tattoo. He went back to a tattoo parlor & had them put a church dress on her.

They were together for the rest of their lives.

I must confess that, despite my original comment, I do have two tattoos: One little green dot on the proximal side of my left knee and one little green dot on the distal side. After my cancer surgery, the techs administering my radiation therapy needed them for registration so that they didn’t nuke more than they were supposed to or nuke the wrong spot.

The only Tat I”m likely to get, being a needle-phobe.
