My sister had to have four baby molars removed before the permanent teeth emerged. I kid you not – the visible part of each tooth was about 1/4 inch, but the roots themselves were an inch long. Looked more like fangs than human teeth. She saved them, and as an art project in high school, had them drilled and made an African-themed necklace that looked like (but did not have) baby lions’ teeth. Won first place at a local art show.
A long time ago, I was having a root canal done, and on my second appointment, I took a tooth I had made out of white clay and told the dentist the tooth he was working on fell out. My only problem with actually fooling him was that I had made the tooth about twice the size of a real tooth.
