Supposedly when we get new bodies we will not know each other. After that it is time for the Final Judgment where you name may or may not be in the Book of Life. If not you get to take an ectoplasmic body puncturing gigantic snake-worm to the nether regions. (See “The Frighteners”) for details though it isn’t Biblical in the post mortal realms it depicts the express elevator to Hell is a monstrous wonder to see. When you die you see a shaft of light which you take either up or down. Down and it changes into a reddish and black interior of a worm that riddles you with its inner worms on you trip to the hotter regions below. So in “The Frighteners” there is no get a new body, just take your ectoplasmic one up or down. Though if you do go to the very bright place you look as good as you ever did and not like a ghost. Not so for the occupants of Tartarus which suffer in their ghost forms.
From what I have seen most people think it is that way in Christianity. Which is fine with me since I am not a follower of any of that, just a student of all of it.
This is such a weird panel. There’s no place in it for a revelation or laugh, or anything. Some guy is holding a grudge…ha, ha? I could attach a lot of levels to this, politically and socially, but I don’t think it actually has that sort of depth. You’ve done better.
