Does a raise and a crown come with the honor.

Bleeb seems to be in awe!

Hello all out there in gocomics land :-)

Every profession has to have its heroes, its lodestars.

Only to discover it’s really a hornets’ nest made to look like stone.

And she’s still a “cafeteria lady”.

Why just queen of the cafeteria? Why not the whole school instead?

Awesome! Now she can finally go off on that quest for the long lost S.O.S recipe. You know, the good one that some people say they had once so very long ago.

But can she cook

I’ve never associated lunch ladies with fly swatters.

What they don’t tell you is that the “stone” is made out of two-year-old mashed potatoes.

Cafeteria ladies are the unsung heroines of our day. God Bless them all.

My husband calls our fly swatter Excalibur.

Until the cafeteria was raided.

“All hail Her Royal Highness, Queen Suzanne! For she has indeed extracted the enchanted flyswatter…. um, I mean… longsword, “EXECUTOR” from the grasp of the petrified mound of meals past, and shall wield it’s mighty power in defence of the crown! Truly, she is the chosen one! God save us, God Save the Queen! Okay, that was fun… now can we all get back to work… that meatloaf ain’t gonna make itself, and there’s already a buncha yammerin’ kids lining up!!”

Any successful teacher makes friends with custodians, secretaries and the cafeteria folks first.

But subsequently released a storm of flies.
