Well, there’s the problem - he tried to bring it in backwards. Pull it in by the base and it will go in just fine. You only get resistance like that when you bring it in top-first.
And it’s not that the tree is too tall for the room, it’s that the ceiling is too low for the tree!
I remember a kid’s book about a too tall tree. Instead of cutting off the bottom, they made a hole in the ceiling (or was it the floor). Anyone else remember this one?
