    I have played a soprano recorder and occasionally still play it and also the alto. To play two recorders simultaneously is a bit difficult if not impossible because it requires both hands to make the tune. Maybe he did have straws up his nose but musicians are known to do amazing things for a buck.

    It’s not exactly a pair of recorders. It’s a double flute. Different notes are played on the two pipes for harmony.
