Reminds me of my dad teaching me to drive stick. I was his fourth kid behind the wheel, so he was pretty patient.

Ya think a standard shift care is hard to learn, try a motorcycle. Not only do ya balance the thing, but both hands, and both feet have seperate jobs to do. Oh yes, there is that turning thing to learn too. :)
