i must be dumb today, but what is the joke?

‘Secret Santa’ is a game wherein, several weeks before the holiday, each person of a group draws from a ‘hat’ the name of one other person in the group. If you were a member of this group, you would buy one gift for the person whose name you drew, rather than many gifts – one for each person in the group. That way everyone gives one gift and receives one gift. The joke here is that each dog bought the same gift as every other dog. Essentially, every dog received the same gift he/she bought for someone else.
