A sample of one isn’t much to go on.
Cosmo will continue to battle the publishing giant that is Poetry Digest. And that wall is my humble homage to the wall from Peanuts. Also, why do “humble” and “homage’ have different H sounds? I choose to blame the French.
My mother was from the South, and did indeed pronounce “humble” like “homage” (if you can imagine). It sounded like “Umble”.
I’ll still blame the French.
At least an editor’s nightmare was useful for a strip!
