No £ key? No problem. Use ALT codes. Just type 0163 while pressing the ALT key and £ appears like magic. You must use the numeric key pad. Take a look at:http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/accents/codealt.html#currency :)
The bad news would be that she will ban you from going to the pub altogether and will tie you to the couch every night and make you watch George Clooney films with her.
I don’t think modern technology really belongs in Andy and Flo’s world. (I mean, he does still take his monthly bath in a tin tub filled up from the kettle!)
You don’t need a Smart phone to text. I still have my nice little Nokia from 2004 which I bought when oldest son went off to college. No “bells and whistles”, but it works just fine. Of course, most people make fun of me, but I don’t care! :-D
Thanks ! I could downscale the phone back to 40 $ a month, and I am thinking seriously on that, now that you mention it. I upped it back when Mom was failing and I was on a bunch more with her and family. At 40 a month I could go a one month’s subscription on the broadband as needed. I did that before and gobbled up the allotted time by having online radio play and viewing the occasional YouBoob link.
I’m not sure if you have heard of AOL Phone & Broadband, but my cousin put me on that when I got my laptop. It cost £14.99 per month. Not too sure how much that would be in US dollars.
When I first used it, it started off with the dial up which made a noise like a rocket taking off. Was unable to use the phone while on the dial up at first, but later on I could use both.
I was only 11 at the time so I can’t remember everything. But in my opinion, you would be much better off with a cheaper broadband and phone and use the rest of the money you pay for the Verizon for other things. It’s all up to you though of course.
Sorry if this didn’t help much! Hope you are doing fine.

Flo texts? Who would have thought!

@EldoNitpicking: Flo called her Mary – not Ruby.

Yes… It’s a landline phone. It may not be any use for you now though, especially if you are on a cell. Sorry for the long comment earlier!
P.S. Congrats on mastering the little smileys! They’re so cute.
