Transcript:
Beni: Look, they're digging for new houses. Alice: Is that how they get new houses? Dig for them like potatoes? Beni: I don't know. Ill go ask the guy wearing a hat. Alice: Ok. Beni: He patted me on the head and said I'm cute. He.. he tousled my hair! Alice: A sure sign of ignorance in an adult. He must not know either.

You don’t just dig houses silly… you have to dig and sift.

I hate hair tousling. I hate hair-tousling adults. That was one of the banes of my youth, and it has remained so through adult years, too. Grrrrh!

They’re both cute. (tousles all around.)

At least he didn’t noogie him…I think that is the meanest thing an adult can do to a kid. There was a man that used to noogie me and I’m a girl. I’m sure he didn’t like me, I had a very smart mouth at 8 years old.

This is so cute. My husband worked in construction and got a kick out of digging for houses – if it were only that easy.

Looks like Alice’s hair is pre-tousled.

I just read your comic. I enjoyed it and I hope you can syndicate it soon if you can keep it going. I think I would add it to my list.

This comic strip was the main reason we kept up our subscription to the Boston Globe. We sorely missed the daily laugh relief. We hope Thompson is improving and will soon bring back the strip – especially to the Boston Globe.

I will forever stop tousling hair…except my own of course.
