I had a Siberian Husky/Malamute mix that I used a pinch collar when I walked him. Otherwise when he was in the backyard (it was fenced) he had NO collar on. We had some evergreen trees in back and the way he used to run around I was afraid he would get the collar caught in the trees and get injured.
