And Burl is almost important. The US Geological Survey—the earthquake people—has Burl’s mass pre-computed, so if he falls, we’ll all know about it. And if he does fall, you can bet your last dime that he will sue the ladder manufacturer for negligence because the warning decal had worn off. Remember that he got that ladder when someone discarded it down at the U-Stor-It.

He almost saved someone’s life when he saw a young man drowning, and walked to the water’s edge… but he couldn’t actually go into the water for another 12 minutes cos he’d eaten a hamburger just an hour and 48 minutes ago.

Unfortunatey, some impatient, pushy guy rushed past him and saved the fellow…before Burl even had a chance! Some people have no manners at all!

Reeeeeach a little higher there Burl……..get them stubby little arms out just a touch more.

Hey girls, one of you get a couple of phone books for him to stand on, look up “911” and wait. The other gets the VHS video camera; might as well try to get the $10,000 prize to defray medical costs.

From this day forward his T-shirt should just have a big M on it. He no longer is considered in training.

He ALMOST save someone. He’d have done it, too, if only the guy who fell onto the tracks would have listened to him yelling, “The train’s coming!” and climbed back up. Some people just won’t work with you.

Screwing the light bulb isn’t what makes him brave. It’s tackling that buffalo of his when she’s feeling frisky that makes him heroic. You’re only a hero when you know the dangers, and he knows they’re both dangerous jobs. He’s fallen off while attempting both of them. (And yes. He’s a little short on what it takes for both jobs.)

I remembering Burl diving for the last hamburger at the Company Picnic, saved someone from overeating, and thus: their life. He is so self-centered, he wouldn’t realize anyone was in trouble, evcen if they yelled Help!

I’d need one of my big ladders to reach my porch light so I now use one of the spirals for that (and have it done by someone other than myself).

Spiral (long lasting bulbs) and use a landscaper unless a son is visiting.
