They used to have a tank in the park in Galax, Virginia; I had a lot of fun climbing on it when I was a kid. The hatches were welded shut for safety.

If you only had to drive a few times a week, it would be cheaper to go buy a new car each time, park it when done and let the city pick it up.(Be a headache for the insurance co, though!)
