Hudson’s overtraining compels him to obey any command, so Poncho should rephrase it as an imperative (“Go to sleep!”) instead of a declarative (*You’re getting sleepy…”).
Of course, by the same token you don’t need hypnosis to subjugate Hudson to your will at all…
