Before I retired my coworkers and I wore Hawaiian shirts every Friday. It was always easy to find a technician when you needed one-just look for a bright color in a sea of drab shirts …
I just wish they made those shirts in long-sleeved versions. I buy my shirts in the men’s department and love those brightly colored shirts. However, when it is too cold to wear short sleeves, I have to go with the boring plaids, stripes or solids.
mjensen9999 - Not quite a long-sleeved swimsuit, but more like a track outfit than a typical swimsuit. Covers the worse of my figure that way.
I love to buy my clothes in the men’s department, as they are so much more practical and better-looking than what I find in the plus-size section of the women’s clothing. But I like to wear designs other than just stripes or plaids. Once I have time to sew, I’ll probably have to buy the fabric I want, and use a man’s pattern to get what I want. My mom used to sew my clothes for me, if I didn’t find what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. But my mom passed away, so I’m stuck with ready-mades until I can find the time to sew my own clothes.

I have one for every day of the week. What I want are those shirts with the pin-up girls. Where can I find those?

Rmom: uh huh. Do you wear a long sleeve bathing suit, too? I think you’re missing the point of a Hawaiian shirt

Good luck with that then, Rmom. I wish I had time to sew too. The kids take up all I have and more, however.

Joe, I know those shirts as Guayaberas.
