If the neighbor’s too dumb to secure his network, then he is offering it by invitation. Now My ISP would sniff out that I had more than the 2 computers I’m paying for on the network and throttle my bandwidth. Although I have willingly shared my connection in the past with neighbors for the nominal fee to the ISP for the extra client, it’s incumbent on anyone who has a network to secure it. By the way, Adam can completely write off the expense of a high-speed wireless connection. So how is it a money-saving tip?
circuit7, The fact that you don’t have to pay taxes on the money you spend on something doesn’t give you the money to spend in the first place. You could argue that if the money were rebated the cost is zero, but simply not having to pay tax on the money you do spend does not make it free.
