All the theme-threads are boring. I guess he writes these in advance so that when he goes on vacation or is sick or just doesn’t feel like doing anything they can be plugged in.

I think I’ll drop Adam from my reading list. It’s pretty much run its course, I’d say.

I agree. This is the first time I’ve ever felt a need to be a critic. I grew up with and used to love reading these, but every strip is like this one now. They are not funny, humorous, silly, fun, etc. They just plain do not work!

EVERY week there is a theme! Is this guy going on vacation EVERY WEEK?!?! Well, the good thing is that every time I read this comic I feel much better about my chances of becoming a cartoonist.

geez, I even stopped archiving them, I think there might have been only one of this theme that was humorous and that one was days ago.

This strip is taking away from the family and their day to day life with each other and more about bad one-liners and non-humorous themes. Brian has gotten lazy and out of touch with his own characters. Boo to you, Brian Basset.

Basset was original in creating the “working father at home” genre. Daddy’s Home is better, Home & Away is worse.

Note of warning for anyone who heads over to Pibgorn, follow some of the links in the first post to get some background info if you have never read it in the past. They help a lot. And be prepared for a large amount of cross discusion with 9 Chickweed Lane It is a fun time though!

    Cheers!

Perhaps I missed the glory days of this strip, but I haven’t found the recent ones to be horrible. I don’t expect it to be uproariously hilarious every day, but it’s worth reading for the occasional chuckle.

Would you believe? When I brought up the website, I was astonished to find this comic greeting me on the login page as “A Recent Favorite”! I’ve always suspected that they chose the “Favorite” purely by random, and now I’m sure. This has got to be the most un-favored comic of the day!
