Adam: Honey, I'm going with you to the Jonas Brothers concert. Katy: But you're too old. Adam: You're never too old for rock and roll! Look! I've got my concert clothes laid out. Katy: I see pants and a vest. But where's the shirt? Adam: Honey, nothing says rock and roll like a vest with no shirt underneath. Katy: I'm going to need some sort of mask. Adam: That's the spirit!

Masks are only good for ethnic music and death metal.
I’d probably be more embarrassed wearing a mask to a pop concert than being associated Adam at said concert…

Tats and piercings Susan? It’s the Jonas Brothers, not AC/DC or Black Sabbath. It’s a kid(s) group! Poor girl, I’d be embarrassed too. Adam’s trying too hard to be cool.

the problem with “trying to be cool” is that “cool” is something that comes without trying or it doesn’t come at all.

I remember a teacher in 1972 who tried to look cool. I was in 7th grade, and thankfully, didn’t have her as my teacher. She was old enough to have white hair, but she wore mini skirts, white go-go boots, etc. I’m sorry, but trying to look waaay younger than you are, never looks cool.

RRAmom: That’s from a kid’s perspective. From mine (white-haired) she’s cool!
