Yes, but it’s Agri-Glut’s (Monsanto and their ilk) lobbyists who rule Washington, not the commoners’ lobbyists. Hence farm bills that heavily subsidize big ag and crops that have marginal nutritional benefit, and laws that exempt ag from standards that impact any other industry.

Which is clearly why lobbying Congress wouldn’t get anything done. Lobbyist keep it from happening.
