We had a guy like that at my last job. White as a sheet and thought he was a “Gangsta Rapper.” He didn’t last long either.

Good question carmy; as (possible) answer, the store sells auto-parts a category which includes certain fluids (motor-oil, auto-tranny fluid, brake fluid, …) to which Joey had easy access to inhale–and probably did (or perhaps he combusted them and inhaled all the smoke)!

Worked in the auto dept of a hardware store for a while- did you know the spray starter fluid for carburetors contains ether? Joey seems perpetually anesthetized.
