I distinctly remember getting, in 1978, my first vcr , a Sony betamax, on sale for only 800 bucks , marked down from 1K.it was marvelous. you had the freedom, never before realized, to see movies and shows ANY TIME YOU WANTED. nowadays , it is hard to imagine not having that, to be at the mercy of whatever and whenever those 4 channels on your tv decided to broadcast
