The Valley of Hearts’ Delight was a lovely place to live back then. Plum, apricot and cherry blossoms fading off into the distance, acres of strawberries, beans, and tomatoes. It were a man’s life in Santa Clara County’s fecund bottom-lands.
I don’t think there’s any such thing as a mild winter in Alberta. There’s only cold, colder & coldest.
Where I live, we have four seasons – almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction.
mild winter? not according to the wooly worms I’ve seen.
Rory might consider being the pasture pastor!

Here in South Louisiana, it occasionally gets below 32 degrees F. Instead of winter we have a cool rainy season.
But I’m loving it. I won’t enjoy the coming days though.
My tot has a Halloween party tonight and it’s snowing and raining here in MN. I am praying for a warm winter like last year!
