At least sheâs not holding up a bag, too. ( Not that sheâs the kind who would, from the looks of her.) Curmudgeon Rant Alert! Iâm so sick of young parents with babies in their arms, babies too young to even eat candy, who make their bewildered, sleepy child hold out their little pumpkin, then they look you right in the face and hold out their own pillowcase. I ask who is this for, they boldly say, âMeâ! They expect a double reward for their scam! Listening to the radio last Nov. 1, I heard another fellow curmudgeon say he kept packets of ketchup, etc., for the offenders. Good idea⌠just donât want the house to get egged!
Dum Dums as a backup and very cheap dinger. If you palm them they donât know what you put in anywayâŚ.so maybe the ketchup packets would work. (Guess whoâs emptying out the butter shelf tonight)
Thank goodness the child had a good Halloween. Thatâs what is important and Arlo did his part! She had probably already been to other homes where people didnât have manners.
I took my kids once they were able to walk, even if they needed a little help moving between houses, but then I carried them. .What cheeses me off is around here these people load âem up in the car (with out seat belts b/c that would take too much time/mess up their costume) and drive them from house to house, and itâs not out the in country, treating houses are maybe 100 feet apart! But then my mom was saying that in her town, a couple of churches BUSED kids to one of her friendâs neighborhood (and others). Thatâs the ultimate in lazy greed to me.
