My grandmother would disinfect a sewing needle with a match followed by a dip in the rubbing alcohol bottle. That needle and a pair of tweezers was all she needed. Don’t remember getting a bandage afterward.

He said “ow” cos the pun was so sharp.

I know, cos I get complaints when I inflict that sort of pain…

Try getting half a toothpick in your heel. Getting that out is PAINFUL and requires a doctor (who wasn’t kidding when he said it would hurt a lot).

The pun was more painful than the splinter.
