Drabble by Kevin Fagan for November 16, 2012
Transcript:
Ralph: The key to surviving a disaster is having neighbors who care about one another! Steinbauer: Speaking of that, did you ever find a job, Sulpherdale? Sulpherdale: As a matter of fact, I did. Steinbauer: Good! Then you'll have no excuse for not buying my daughter's girl scout cookies next year! Sulpherdale: Well, maybe you should buy a muzzle for your stupid dog! Steinbauer: Whose dog are you calling stupid?!! Ralph: This disaster meeting is a disaster!

Girl Scout cookies are nearly inedible. Last time I bought some I had difficulty getting ANYONE to eat them.

I had some crazy next door neighbors who cut down their high bushes right before I held a wedding in my yard (exposing the disaster of yard junk and rainbow toys behind the chain fence). Fortunately I had enough fabric left from making all the tablecloths to drape the entire area on my side and my kids used the rest of flowers left over to adorn along the gathers (I bought the flowers at wholesale dealers down at Navy Pier back in 1991).
